My name is Nate, and I am a 20-something year old college student aiming to become a security architect. Currently, I’m working on gaining a CISSP certification and a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology.
In 2015, I started this blog as an ongoing project to increase general awareness about security issues. I believe current trends lead to a higher demand for diligence and focus in cybersecurity. The number of devices connected to the internet grows at an alarming rate. Consequently, computer systems suffer from an increasing number of vulnerabilities. It is therefore my intent to help create a culture that has a higher aptitude in various domains of security. Additionally, I intend to use this blog as a means of educating myself. By writing about matters of security, I can sharpen my own skillset and keep my knowledge fresh.
I hope my readers walk away with a better understanding of material revolving around cybersecurity. Furthermore, it is my wish that they are persuaded to care about cybersecurity on a deeper level than they did previously. With any luck, this blog will contribute to creating a broader culture of risk management.
